Our Goal
Ben48 plans and organises music and cultural events to bring refectories into dialogue. Of course, typical Arabic delicacies should not be missing.
With our work we also want to draw attention to the living situation of the population in North Africa, who are always looking for a way across the Mediterranean.
Here we would like to create perspectives in the home country. With the first project we established good contact with cooperatives in Tunisia, which as small farmers practice traditional agriculture and produce delicious products.
We support the distribution of your products at fair prices in the Swiss market. In the future, we would also like to promote cooperation between local and Swiss companies. The Ben48 association sees itself as a platform for exchange.
Our Co-Working Space
Ben48 has a house in Tunisia available to set up a co-working space. This space provides an excellent opportunity for workshops where engaged members of the local community can elaborate and share their ideas. By working with partners from Switzerland, these ideas will then be evaluated and, if possible, implemented.
The co-working space becomes a place of creative knowledge exchange for the local community. This creates the opportunity to find new solutions to problems and develop innovative ideas, The partnership with Switzerland also provides the opportunity to pool resources and expertise and work together on projects.
The co-working space becomes a place of collaboration and exchange between cultures. It promotes the creation of sustainable solutions and strengthens the local economy and community.

Our History
Ben48 unites Arabs and Europeans who cultivate an enriching exchange. Ben48 deliberately wants to make a cultural connection visible and tangible and thus counteract the media coverage and any prejudices.
You are invited to discuss art, culture, culinary and interesting ideas and to enjoy the beauty and diversity of the Arab culture with all senses. For this we have good contact with local farmers who produce the delicacies and the dedicated people who work in the co-working space.
Driven by the recent history with the conflicts in the Arab region, many people fleeing across the Mediterranean and the prejudices against Muslims, we want to create a counterpoint. We want to promote dialogue in Switzerland, but also to give local people a perspective in their own country again and to promote local women.
The best way to experience a culture is to absorb it on site. Therefore, it is our wish to organize trips to this world again and again.
